A Season of Change

I hope you all have been enjoying your summer! I can’t believe how quickly the end of August is approaching us.

Well, as many of you know this summer has been a wild ride for me. Life hasn’t quite been the same since June 15th, but I am realizing that it won’t ever go back to being the same, but different….and in a good way. I am embracing change. I am walking forward….towards the things that my heart truly longs for.

Speaking of change. My husband and I have moved from Nashville, TN to Kalispell, MT!!! Talk about embracing change, right?!? Reed is a business man. An entrepreneur. A dreamer. A visionary. And he has been a huge support to me and my business. However, he has always dreamed of owning his own business and we had been praying about the perfect opportunity to come our way. Well, it did. And this opportunity just so happened to be in his hometown in Montana.

We will be opening up a self-serve yogurt/ coffee shop in downtown Whitefish. We are scheduled to close on our building space at the end of September so we have been busy dreaming up ideas for our new shop! I am so excited to partner with Reed in the this new venture. As I mentioned before…..Reed has been the backbone of my photography business and that is something that he is sill passionate about and I will continue to create, but in a new way [of course!].

My calendar was filled to the max with photosessions before I left Nashville so I’ll be posting many more Tennessee families up on here in the next few days….it was a HOT summer, but my clients nailed it! I can’t wait to show you!

Thank you for being such a support to me. I care about each and every one of you that visit my blog. Will you JOIN me on this new adventure?!? My blog posts may look a little different from the past, but Im willing to take that risk….to have you be part of this with us!

Here are a few iPhone photos from our travels this past week….::

Formula One Actions

I am so excited to share with you that TABOR JEAN is featured on the Formula One- “One on One interviews” today. Great questions were asked….so go a head and learn more about David Bean and I!

Formula One Actions are THE BOMB! Seriously, do people even say that anymore? Well, I just did. It’s the first word that came to my mind….but its exactly what they do! Your photos will POP and there is as much creative control as you would want with these. They look amazing “as is” or you can mix and play with the settings! Very easy. The outcome is AMAZING!

As many of you know….I am a people person. I love connecting with fellow creatives…..and thats what I love most about this company. Their service is incredible. Krystle, the name and face that you will get to know if you follow FORMULA ONE ACTIONS on Twitter…is the sweetest girl in the world! We had an opportunity to meet for coffee a few months ago and I love that we have become sweet friends. I can’t stress enough how important it is to CONNECT and be part of a community [whether you are a photographer or not].

Im honored to share a screen shot with some of my most favorite photographers! Go and read their interviews…their work and vision are truly inspiring! Thank you Jarrad and Krystle for supporting David and I. We truly love you guys!!! This interview was SO much fun!

Formula One will be featuring my BEFORE & AFTER shots, but here’s one that will give you an idea of what these actions can do.

Oh Happy Day.

My favorite part about birthdays are the pretty sweets. They instantly put a smile on my face [and I don't even have to eat them!!] I shot this a while ago, but Im definitely heading on over to Naticakes at some point today.

Love & Hugs to you all. XOXO

The Warren Family

You may know her as Butterflysparks, but her real name is Vanessa and she has an incredible husband named Mark and a sweet little boy named Noah. This is the Warren Family.

We have been friends for 5 years. We met at church and quickly learned that we lived in the same neighborhood. Once we figured that out….the late nights and impromptu hang outs began! We have spent A LOT of time together [and this is a huge understatement]. We have laughed. We have cried. We had some of the most FABULOUS traditions around the holidays. We have dreamed dreams and started businesses together. We have celebrated and remembered life together….and the most amazing memory was being at the hospital when their son Noah was born.

Well, today……these friends of ours have moved back “home” to TEXAS. Today was bittersweet as they packed up the U-Haul and drove out of our neighborhood for the very last time. It reminded me once again how short and sweet life really is. I am so thankful that we invested in each others lives. We had grown closer than ever before these past few months and my heart couldn’t be any happier. We know this is not “goodbye” …..because TEXAS is a place that I most definitely want to visit one day soon. Vanessa and I also have a few things up our sleeve….and you’ll be hearing a lot more from us!

Mark & Vanessa…. You know exactly how I feel about you. I am so very thankful for the time that we had these past few weeks [i'm sure mark & reed are happy to have their wives back!!]. I am proud of the decisions that you have made and I am filled with hope and excitement as you begin this new season. I love you dearly and I miss you already. XOXO

…..our last trip to downtown Nashville. The Johnny Cash wall was a must!

Reed and I adore all of Noahs little big expressions, including his “robot” dance moves and “Thomas the Train” faces. These next few photos are SO Noah!
Nashville will miss the Warrens.

Jaime - Beautiful pictures! Adorable little boy! Your right his facial expression are greatness!!!

July 29, 2010 -

vanessa warren - OH MY!!! love these so much, girl. how fun that we have these NASHVILLE memories! and those facial expressions are most definitely little Noah…HILARIOUS.
these made me think of when you’d ask him how much you love him & he’d throw his arms out wide…SO precious. we miss you guys & love you SO very much! xox

August 2, 2010 -

Heather Rice - Hi, I am friend with the Warren’s. I went to highschool with Joel and Mark. I just saw the pics you took of them in front of the Johnny Cash wall in Nashville. Would you tell me where exactly that wall is. My husband and I are going to be there next month for our anniversary and he loves Johnny Cash. I would love to be able to snap a few shots of him in front of it. Thanks Heather Rice

Vikki O’Brien - HI,
I am in love with these pictures–that wall is so cool! Would you mind telling me where in Nashville this wall is? My son’s name is Cash and I would love to take him down there in his wife beater and cool hat to snap some pics!!
Thanks so much!
